ApexSQL Knowledgebase Tips and How-to Articles for Apex SQL Tools How to configure What Is dialog to remain opened even if it loses focus In ApexSQL Edit 2008, What Is dialog closes when it loses focus. This is default behavior. However, users might want to change such behavior and keep What Is dialog opened even if it loses focus. SOLUTION To keep What Is dialog opened even if it loses focus, you should perform the following steps: 1) Open "AllSettings" dialog using Ctrl + Shift + S hot-key combination 2) Locate property "WhatIsCloseOnDeactivate" Fastest way to accomplish this is by filtering "Setting" column by entering part of the property name/full name: ![]() 3) Change property value in "Value" column from "true" to "false" (without quotes) and close the dialog. ![]() After this procedure, What Is window should remain open even if it loses focus.
