Process SQL Server Data and Objects into T-SQL Scripts, Executables and
Deployment Packages
Apex SQL Script is a SQL tool that converts Databases into scripts, .net
EXE's, deployment packages or into source control
Scripts are ordered based on proprietary dependency algorithms to ensure
proper order of generated scripts.
Scripts can be created from Databases or Source control labels (all SCC
compliant source control systems are supported)
Includes Command Line Interface
ApexSQL Script allows a rich array of value added scripting attributes
to embed customizable text, tags, dates, comments etc into your scripts
to transform your output into a richly tailored output, that comes in a
variety of formats.

|
- [NEW] SQL Server 2005 support
- [NEW] Proprietary dependency algorithm ensures scripts are always created in the proper order
- [NEW] Scripts are parsed to allow users to add owners where they are missing, or explicitly exclude them, or map them to user defined users
- [NEW] Combine Structure and Data scripts into a single file.
- [NEW] Create C# projects or .NET executables in addition to script based output.
- Provides scripting capabilities for the extended properties of all objects.
- Script objects too (with incredible performance) - tables, procedures etc for complete deployment solution.
- Completely redesigned interface.
- Tremendous performance improvements especially on large tables.
- Support for all sql datatypes (including Text, Image, sql_variant etc).
- Ability to append where clause to Table/Views via interface.
- Table / View aliases so you can script one table/view to a different table/view.
- Column level scripting - this feature allows you to pick and choose what columns you want to include in the script.
- Table/View level row limits. Now you have the option to limit the number of rows to script on an individual Table / View level.
- Allows you to suppress All Constraints and/or Triggers prior to running scripts.
- Handles Identity fields to either increment or copy the exact values using the SQL Identity_Insert command.
- Auto sequencing of tables based on system table reference data allows data to be removed and then inserted again in reverse order to allow processing of insert scripts even while referential integrity is still being enforced.
- Option to Add custom comments to sql file and as each table is processed.
- Option to allow Print statements to be added to sql script.
- Option to Delete all records from each table prior to processing inserts.
- Option to script only n rows for each table.
- Frequency of transaction commits is variable and can be set to every n number of rows.
- Ability to save and retrieve Table Order profiles for each database.
- See sample Insert script for Pubs database - Inserts.txt
"ApexSQL makes some incredible tools for SQL Server. This happens to be the one I purchased for myself. They have an editor that basically replaces query analyzer and is much better(I have that at work). Anyway, ApexSQL Script allows you to generate scripts to build database objects along with the data. It deals with relationships and the scripts that are generated are very efficient and fast. I recently had to use this at work after one of our database tables was hosed. It inserted 87,000 records over the network in about 10-15 minutes. I have used other tools in the past but they generate slow scripts that only work if you have a very simple database schema. I use this to move databases from one environment to another when I need to script the structure and/or pre-populate the database. I also find it very useful for testing applications. If there is baseline information at a point in the development lifecycle that you wish to start from when testing, you can generate a script, run tests, put the structure and data back to where it was when you generated the script, make changes and test again."

http://blog.vanslaars.com/archive/2006/01/06.aspx"Thanks for a great product I couldn't live without!
I use ApexSQL Script when developing dynamic web apps for small clients who utilize shared hosting services.
Frequently I don't have enough access to the shared hosting MSSQL Server for effecient [sic] development. I do all my development on local servers, and the ApexSQL Script product is a life saver when I need to move to the production environment at a shared host where I cannot restore a backup. The tool is also a life saver when I need to take over a project and have limited permissions on the production server. I can get a copy of the live system to place into my develpment [sic] environment faster and easier with ApexSQL Script than any other product or method I have tried. Of course I also rely heavily on ApexSQL Diff to help me keep the development, staging and production evironments [sic] in sync."David Volle
