ApexSQL Edit 2008.09 release

·      We've had two maintenance releases of ApexSQL Edit since August. On November 25, 2009, we released ApexSQL Edit 2008.09. Changes included in these most recent releases are new refactors, debugging and profiling support for SQL Server 2008 stored procedures and UDFs, more streamlined options, and bug fixes. New Refactors in ApexSQL Edit

·      Since ApexSQL Edit 2008.07, we've introduced three new refactors. We have Encapsulate as Stored Procedure, Encapsulate as Scalar Inline Function and Encapsulate as Inline Table-Valued Function. All these new refactors are available through the following dialog:

ApexSQL Script 2008.03 release

·      ApexSQL Script 2008.03 as well as the previous version (2008.02) contained some major changes related to Source Control. The Source Control module has been redesigned. It now has an improved interface, new Folder Mapping options, and additional source control features including native support for Microsoft Visual Source Safe, SourceGear Vault, Subversion and Team Foundation Server. This version includes a more accurate dependencies detecting engine, better support for new SQL Server 2008 objects, and fixes for several important issues.

Minor Feature, Minor Fix Release: ApexSQL Data Diff 2008.05 

This release features a significantly improved support for large values (of data types like image, text, nvarchar(max), etc.), and a variety of fixes and enhancements.

This minor release contains some bug fixes.

Minor Feature, Medium Fix Release: ApexSQL Diff 2008.11

This release has better CLI support, a significantly improved support for SQL Server 2008 objects scripting, better support for creating large database snapshots, and a variety of fixes and enhancements.

Medium Fix, Minor Feature Release: ApexSQL Doc 2008.08

This release has better CLI and assembly documentation support, improved support for documenting large databases and SSIS packages, and fixes several important issues.

Medium Feature, Medium Fix Release: ApexSQL Debug 2008.03

With this version, SQL Server 2008 is now supported (add-in can be installed on SQL Server Management Studio 2008 and debug SQL Server 2008 instances). This version also works in SQL Server Management Studio 2005 without SP2 or higher and has a variety of fixes and enhancements.

Minor Feature, Minor Fix Release: ApexSQL Refactor 2008.02

This version can now work on SQL Server Management Studio 2005 without SP2 or higher, has better support for new SQL Server 2008 data types, and has a variety of fixes.
