What are the benefits of paying for a Maintenance?

• Product Support: Customers with current maintenance contracts get access to Phone support and Priority for email/support forum requests through our internal verification system. Support isn't guaranteed for customers who don't have a current Maintenance contract.
• High ROI: Maintenance contracts for ApexSQL products offer a great Return on Investment. For 15-25% of the product price *, you can get new major versions for FREE, saving up to nearly 60% over the lifetime of the product.
• Automatic upgrades: A maintenance contract also ensures immediate and hassle-free upgrade to the new version as soon as it's released via our auto-update feature. No need to purchase an upgrade, wait for approval etc.

What if I didn't purchase Maintenance?

You do have 30 days after initial purchase to add Maintenance, so contact sales@apexsql.com if you change your mind.

Can I get a discount on multi-year Maint contracts?

Yes.

• Maintenance for 1 year is 25% of the product price
• For 2 years it is 20% a year (10% total savings)
• For 3 years it is15% a year (30% total savings)

How can I check my Maintenance status, upgrade eligibility?

To check on the Maintenance status of ApexSQL software you have purchased, please visit our Upgrade Center and/or Contact a Sales representative directly to discuss upgrade availability and options.

Request your keys via our Resend Activation Key form which will include maint expiration date and last version eligibility for all of your keys.

What is the Return on Investment of ApexSQL Maintenance Contracts?

Maintenance is a much more cost effective means of obtaining the latest and greatest versions of ApexSQL tools, than purchasing the new versions when they come out, typically saving customers up to nearly  60% over a 4-year period.

Purchasing a product with 3-yr Maintenance and renewing each year will typically result in a savings of up to nearly 60% over 4 years vs. buying new versions when they come out.

What are the additional benefits of being under Maintenance?

• You can upgrade any products to a Value Bundle by paying just the differential.
• You can get cumulative quantity discounts based on the total licenses you own. For example if you have 2 licenses under Maint, the next one you purchase would be at the quantity 3 tier discount price. These discounts can be significant for larger quantities.

What if I purchased without maintenance and a new major version is released immediately after (e.g. 1 week, 1 month, etc)

You would need to purchase the new major version. Existing customer discounts will apply though.

Can I just purchase Maintenance when a new major version comes out?

No. Maintenance for a product can be renewed, if it has expired, but can't be purchased after the fact.

If my maintenance contract has expired, can I still renew it?

Yes, we can still retroactively renew your maintenance contract. There is no deadline but an expired renewal fee may be applied.
