Application crashes at startup in Windows Vista
Application fails to login, it says that my SQL Server doesn't exist.
I ran the downloaded installer but it failed at start up
I ran ApexSQL product under Vista and got the following report

This occurs for some non-ApexSQL Products as well. Click here for more information. RESOLUTION We recommend removing/uninstalling this beta version of the Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista 32-bit. The cause of the problem is incorrectly displaying the dialogs on machines using 120 dpi fonts. RESOLUTION Please set your font to 96 dpi to work around this issue:

The block will interfere with the operation of the help file and an ‘Action canceled’ or ‘The page cannot be displayed’ error will be displayed in the topic pane. Command Line program has .com extension, for example ApexSQLDiff.com. The program fails to start after it was autoupdated. CAUSE Depending on some changes to the applications (i.e. moving from .net 1.1 to .net 2.0) the auto-updating process might not function properly. If your server is SQLExpress please put \SQLEXPRESS at end of your server name. CAUSE If you installed your program over an older version, at start up new version tries to load the old profiles and, depending on the product and version, it may cause this type of behavior RESOLUTION To work around this problem, please uninstall the application. Delete the installation dir to clean out of all profiles and xml files then re-install. I’ve got .Net framework installed already .Net exception raises on ApexSQL application launch: CAUSE Almost all our applications require .Net 2.0 run-time library, the above message shows up when you have .Net 1.1 run-time library installed. RESOLUTION Please install .Net 2.0 run-time library first (you should not uninstall your .Net 1.1 library, so this installation won’t affect the existing applications).
