Troubleshooting and Known issues with Apex SQL Tools


Script Wizard warns me that I didn’t select the objects for a single chosen database.

SUMMARY
I selected only one database for scripting but anyway Script Wizard warns me that I didn’t select the objects for scripting, but I did. What’s wrong here?

SYMPTOMS

Script Wizard displays the message "Please select at least one object to script for database ..." for case of a single database is chosen and objects for scripting are checked.

CAUSE
This happens if you didn’t select the objects in the mode you chose in the Script Wizard. For example, you did select the objects in Data mode:





And didn’t select any in Structure mode:






However in the Script Wizard you chose scripting Structure Only:






ApexSQL Script warns you to select the objects in Structure mode:





RESOLUTION

Verify that that objects are checked in the Structure or(and) Data mode according to mode they are to be scripted in(Data, Structure, both Data and Structure).
