Getting started with projects

What is a project?

Projects are a way to help eliminate the need to repeatedly make documentation selections each time ApexSQL Doc is started. Once the selections are saved to a project file, the set up process can be skipped, going straight to generating documentation.

Project files store the following information:

Connection information for databases and SSIS packages
The document information selections, including object types and object filters created
Information about selected styles, output, and performance options.

Create, open, and save projects using the Projects group, located on the Home tab

Maintain projects, including the recent projects list, using the Project management dialog
