Generating documentation

It’s a simple process to document the databases and SSIS packages using ApexSQL Doc

To generate documentation:

Add data sources – Connect to the Servers or SSIS packages and select the databases and SSIS packages for documenting
Choose what to document – Choose the specific object, database, SSIS package, and server details for documenting

Server details – Specific objects and details about the database server
Database options – Optional groupings and documentation attributes
Object details – Objects, object types, and object details
Dependency options – Object dependency relationships
SSIS package details – Specific details about your SSIS packages

    3.   Select a file format – Select the file format for your generated documentation
    4.   Customize – Customize the style and layout of the generated documentation
    5.   Generate - On the Home tab, in the Actions group, click Generate documentation
