When you work with ApexSQL Clean, the first step in analyzing a database is the Dependency Analysis Wizard. This wizard will guide you safely through all the steps it takes to create a project in ApexSQL Clean.
The first step of the Dependency Analysis Wizard lets you choose from the following options:

Option |
Description |
Create a New Project | This option will create a new session with ApexSQL Clean's default settings and no database selected. Settings changed in any previous session will be ignored. |
Edit a Current Project | This option will reload an already loaded project with either the current project settings or load the last saved settings respectively. |
Open an Existing Project | This option will load a previously saved project. Previously saved projects are persisted to disk for easy retrieval. ApexSQL Clean stores information about a project in an XML-file with the *.axcl extension. |
When you have selected to edit or open a project, you can immediately analyze a database and/or navigate to other nodes in the Project Wizard's treeview. In these cases ApexSQL Clean already has all information it needs. However, when you create a new project, you need to walk through the remaining wizard pages in order to provide ApexSQL Clean with all necessary information.
