Click Here for more info. Labels: Promotions ...Da Rules!  Do you have rules for SQL Development, regarding coding format, naming conventions, object sizes, max this, limits on that? Do you enforce these rules? Would you like to? Do you have renegades in your organization, like I do, who think rules are made to be broken and flout convention at every opportunity ? Would you like to keep track of these characters for "re-education" purposes (we don't advocate using any new tools we may be producing for punishing developers)? Would you like to add buzzwords like "Governance" to your resume? At component source I have to buy at the first tier each time I buy a tool. Even though I've bought Janus Grid multiple times - I never get a qty break for my subsequent purchases. Although after complaining about it last time, the phone rep gave me a $20 coupon for my next purchase! :( We get a lot of customers who buy Diff, then Edit, then ... and get close to what they would have paid for ApexSQL Developer Studio. Suggestion: Customizable Suites Depending on an individuals needs, the current studio packages may cover too much or too little. Another company I have been a customer of in the past, let's call them "Emb", has "packs" which tailored a bit to Admins, Developers, etc. If ApexSQL has an option to bundle tools into a single purchase with a bit of a discount, it might generate interest. For example, my current needs are Edit, Diff, Doc. In a past position, it would have been Edit, Diff, Log. My Reply We don't have any other bundles but we do offer cross selling discounts. So if you purchase ApexSQL Edit - you can add the same # of licenses of any other development tool product to it with a 20% discount. If you purchase any development tool you can add n licenses of ApexSQL Edt at 20% discount. So in this way you can Mix and Match your own bundles even if you don't want to go all the way up to ApexSQL Studio.
