Labels: ApexSQL Script ...Update on Products - ApexSQL Script 2005 I've always wondered about companies with vibrant Blogs and why they have so much time to write vs working. Based on the dearth of posts lately you can be assured we've been working hard! Having said that, I'm going to start posting daily on updates on this BLOG, new releases, news etc. Here is a good shot from ApexSQL Script 2005  We're in the process of rolling out complete rewrites for all applications. We've gone thru1) conversion of all apps. to C# 2) rewriting most apps. to exponentially increase feature set 3) add support for SQL2005 and now are at the end of the process where we are basically finishing help files. ApexSQL has been strangely quiet for a long time - especially for those customers used to major new features rolled out pretty much everyone month. A few months back we rolled out .NET equivalents of all of our apps. except one - ApexSQL Code (which will be out shortly). This allowed us to get the kinks worked out with the new paradigm and language (C#) before launching the rewrites. Now we're ready to roll out the SQL2005 compliant rewrites. More on these over the next couple of weeks with daily updates here. I'm pretty happy with the new software but this represents only the beginning. We're already working on delta functional for 2005.5x versions of apps. Once we release the 2005 versions we'll be actively seeking feedback and feature requests. This screen shot shows a slice of the new ApexSQL Script which has been souped up with some cool new features, much faster, a new wizard/project based paradigm and as you can see SQL 2005 support. When will new versions be released? We're hoping they will see the light of day "shortly". Some could roll now but we're working on help files, some remaining bugs etc. Will upgrades be Free to existing customers? Yes.
