How do I manually activate my software online?

To activate an ApexSQL product online, a Hardware ID and a product activation key are needed

To manually activate an ApexSQL product online:

1. Navigate to Product activation
2. Select the ApexSQL product to be activated from the Product list drop-down menu
3. Enter the Activation key and Hardware ID

4. Click Submit to view the Activation code

5. Select the entire code and copy it
6. Open the ApexSQL product to be activated
7. Click Activate
8. Enter the Activation key in the activation dialog that will appear
9. Select Activate manually and click Next
10. Paste the copied Activation code into the box at the bottom of the dialog as shown

11. Click Activate
12. A confirmation message notifying that the product has been activated successfully will be displayed

Get Reg key file

Besides the activation code, a registry file can be used to activate our SQL development product

The first four steps are identical to the ones used to create the activation code. Then perform the following:

1. Click Get Reg key file

2. Save the file on the machine where the ApexSQL product that should be activated is installed
3. Double click the saved .reg file
4. When prompted, allow the file to be added to the registry
5. A confirmation message notifying that the product has been activated successfully will be displayed

Get Activation SQL file

Besides the activation code, a SQL file can be used to activate our database administration products

The first four steps are identical to the ones used to create the activation code. Then perform the following:

1. Click Get Activation SQL

2. Save the file on the machine where the ApexSQL product that should be activated is installed
3. Open the saved .sql file in SQL Server Management Studio or ApexSQL Edit
4. Execute the script to activate the product
